Rules on iTalkBB Early Termination Fee in Canada Market

Changes of Early Termination Fee and Equipment deposit in CANADA Market

Effective from May 1^st, 2010, Canada Market will adjust the Early Termination Fee and Equipment Deposit to all existing or new customers as described below.

1. Cancellation within Contract Period and after 30 day free trial period

If customer cancels the service within contract period, an Early Termination Fee of $69.99 plus the sum of all waived or discounted fees or charges shall apply, including but not limited to, Activation Fee and promotional signup discounts.

For example, if a customer signed up for a $24.99 2 year contract, with Activation Fee waived and a promotional offer of first 3 months service charges reduced at $8.99. Upon the 8^th month of usage, customer called for cancellation, ITALKBB CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER shall debit customer’s credit card with the following:

A. Early Termination Fee of $69.99

B. Activation Fee of $29.99

C. Difference of the first 3 months service fee: ($24.99 – $8.99) x 3 = $48

Total $147.98

2. Equipment Deposit

Applied to all plans in Canada Market, Equipment Deposit increased from $60 to $99. These changes shall apply to all iTalkBB customers, including existing customers signed up before May 1^st,, 2010.

Upon cancellation, if customer failed to return the BB box, iTalkBB will charge a Equipment penalty of $99. Consider there might be complaints from customers signed up before May 1^st, 2010, ITALKBB CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER will handle this charges case by case.
